Muscle builders: Protein

Amino acids: the building blocks of muscle

Of all the supplements that are important to a bodybuilder, protein has to be it. If you want to get shredded without the extra intake of unwanted fats and sugars, then by far the most effective way is through taking a protein supplement. Why? Because protein contains the amino acid building blocks essential for muscle gain. Workouts tear muscle down in order to build it back up again, and amino acids are an essential part of the post-workout recovery process.

Second only to water, our bodies contain more protein than anything else, and they are essential for the repair and creation of skin, hair, nails, and other tissue, including muscles.

There are 22 different amino acids, 14 being essential to the body. While most people get enough amino acids for good health through a well balanced diet, bodybuilders have unique nutritional needs, and some of the non-essential amino acids are vital for bodybuilders to get results.

The huge benefit of taking protein as a supplement is that you don't have to worry about adding extras into your diet, like fats and sugars that build fat, not muscle. By far the most effective protein is whey isotope, which has the highest Biological Value (BV) per gram than any other form of protein. Basically, it's more bang for your buck. Second to whey isotope is whey compound, which is cheaper than the isotope but still packs a punch. Egg protein sits just behind whey as a perfect protein and soy protein is a great option for people with lactose or egg intolerances.

Amino acids supplements are best when they are part of a balanced diet. Remember that an overload of any one amino acid can become toxic to the system, and like any good team, they perform best when they work together.

MuscleTech Leukic Hardcore

Developed by the MuscleTech team, Leukic Hardcore is one of the world's most advanced and best-selling anabolic supplements.

Designed to stimulate anabolic responses through effective nutrient signalling, Leukic Hardcore has been designed with professional bodybuilders in mind: those that want rapid hard gains without the androgenic side effects. But it's not just for professionals. Whether you're just starting out or trying to punch through a training wall, Leukic Hardcore will be just as effective.

Leukic Hardcore also works by maximising the body's growth hormones (GH), and through the biochemical process called phosphorylation, you can achieve permanent muscle gains more easily with ongoing training.

Leukic Hardcore is most effective if taken immediately before you train or on days you don't work out, first thing in the morning. For better results, take 2 servings a day. Be sure to increase your intake of water, and try stacking this product with protein, creatine and Nitric Oxide supplements.

MuscleTech Gakic & Gakic Hardcore

If you're hardcore about your training, you'll know what fatigue feels like. But fatigue is the enemy of the bodybuilder, reducing the power of your workout and the mass you can build.

Gakic and Gakic hardcore have been scientifically engineered by MuscleTech to tackle this very problem. The solution is to neutralize the toxins that cause muscle fatigue, like ammonia, which increase with every rep. Taking Gakic and Gakic Hardcore is like having a mini army on your side, liquidating the fatigue toxins and allowing you to keep right on upping both reps and weights.

Key ingredients include Glycine-l-arginine-alpha-ketoisocaproic acid calcium, Xanthinol nicotinate, Yohimbine and Prunus mume extract. It's best when taken 30-45 minutes before a high-intensity workout, and it's advised that you start out with a half dose for the first week (4 caplets). This product is great stacked with Leukic Hardcore and Creakic Hardcore.
